Zagreb
This is Medvedgrad. There is a legend associated with this fortress. It is said that a queen, who once ruled the castle, was cursed and turned into a snake. She is supposedly still deep in the tunnels below the fortress guarding her gold. Those that have gone in search of their gold have never returned!

Dubrovnik was originally part of the Republic of Ragusa.

Gruž
Gruž was is now a suburb of Dubrovnik but long ago a separate town. The wealthy merchants who lived in Dubrovnik also built villas in Gruž. They lived in them during the summer.

Korčula is an island. At the time the famous traveller, Marco Polo, was born the Venitians controlled the Dalmatian coast. It is thought by some that Marco Polo was born in Korčula.
