Yellow-necked Mouse
The yellow-necked mouse is nocturnal and does not hibernate. Sometimes several mice will huddle together during the winter to stay warm. It likes to eat nuts, shoots, fruit and buds. It also eats invertebrates such as snails and worms. It is an excellent climber. It lives in holes in tree trunks, hollow logs and burrows under trees. The burrows often have "store rooms" for storing food such as acorns. |
